Craaaazy Friday night over here. I’m exhausted from my very early workout this morning (5 am) where I finally accomplished my goal of doing an unassisted dip!!!) but I wanted to post a quick recipe in case you’re craving something sweet this very second!
Ever have one of those days where you just KNOW that eating something really sugary/fattening is going to make you feel so much better? I have those pretty often, yesterday actually, and it’s always an inner struggle to convince myself that I don’t need the whole box of freshly baked glazed donuts. It was hard to resist these guys while at the grocery store yesterday-
But instead of being weak and giving in to cravings, I went with a healthier treat!
It’s important to realize that FOOD IS FUEL not therapy, not a reward, not a companion, not comfort, not entertainment! It requires constant conscious effort to remind myself that I don’t need to indulge to make myself feel better. When I do need to satisfy my sweet tooth, I go for recipes like this one!
PB Spice Freeze
Makes 1 serving-
Carbs: 7g (low carb for an evening snack)
1/4 cup fat-free cottage cheese
1 scoop protein powder (Isopure Cookies and Cream for me!)
dash of nutmeg
2 packets of stevia
2 tablespoons PB2 (or 1 tablespoon all natural peanut butter)
1 teaspoon vanilla
- blend all of the ingredients in a blender (add a cup of ice cubes to increase the volume/help it freeze quicker)
- freeze for at least one hour
it’s that easy:)
